Capital School District Calendar 2026-2027

Capital School District serves the Dover community through a K–12 network featuring the Middle School of Excellence, Middle School of Innovation, and Dover High School. Families seeking to attend a campus outside their feeder zone must complete registration at their neighborhood resident school before applying through Delaware School Choice, with acceptances determined by building capacity.

The district's Spanish immersion track launches in kindergarten at East Dover and Fairview early childhood centers, advances through Central or South Dover Elementary and the middle schools, and extends into Dover High School. During the K–5 years, immersion students spend half their day learning in English and half in Spanish. Families apply directly for immersion seats, with a lottery conducted whenever applicant numbers exceed program capacity.
